Frequently Asked Questions
Recipients of travel scholarships for our “Advanced Therapeutics in Movement & Related Disorders Congress” (ATMRD) who are currently in one of the following stages of training:
- Movement Disorders Fellow (PGY 5 or 6)
- Third Year Neurology Resident who will be starting a Movement Disorders Fellowship later this year (PGY 4)
- Second Year Neurology Resident who plans to apply for Movement Disorders Fellowship starting the following year (PGY 3)
Each mentee is surveyed for their special areas of interest and individually matched to a movement disorders expert, kicking off with a face-to-face introductory meeting between mentee-mentor in April-June.
5-8 follow-up virtual mentoring sessions occur over the course of 12 months. In-person meetings may occur at congresses or conferences when mentors’ and mentees’ schedules overlap.
PMD Alliance hosts Cohort Connect Webinars throughout the mentorship year, as well as additional networking social events at medical congresses and conferences.
